Sakura Mochi’s Assignment 4
My mother always taught me that “the best way to be happy with someone, is to learn to be happy alone. That way, the company will be a matter of choice… and not necessity”
No doubt my shyness have made me my very own best friend.
What she didn’t teach me is how to deal with people who want me to be their company. Especially a really really cute man. *swoons*
Like every other morning, I would stop by my favorite swing at the Enchanted Rainbow Park and just reflect. It’s really therapeutic. There’s barely anyone in the park at that time of the day so I almost fell from the swing when I heard a voice.
"Hey!" A young beautiful man emerged from the greenery, "I am Icy Twist, and I have been meaning to talk to you for awhile now."
"H-Hieee, I mean, Hi, I meant to say Hey too so it came out as Hiee.." I caught myself rambling and stopped, "I’m Sakura Mochi, I am done with the swing, you can have it"
I looked up at Icy and watched him as he chuckled. Berry, I am staring! I immediately shifted my gaze back at my feet. Why won’t my feet move!
"Oh no, no no, I didn’t come here to take the swing from you, I was wondering if you would like to go for lunch? I heard the Fish and Chips at Buttercup Dome is to die for”
I felt my cheeks burning. Have I just been asked out? What do I do? Oh snap out of it, Sakura, just go for it!
"I’d love to" I squeaked. Sigh, I’m pathetic, who in the world squeaks in response?! I took a deep breath, and turned my gaze back towards him.
Icy held out his hand and I am glad I took it as my legs suddenly felt like mush.
Fortunately, Icy is quite the conversationalist and did most of the talking so I eventually warmed up to him. Needless to say, it was a great day and the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
